WHEREAS the Municipality of Central Elgin should seek measures to be supportive of Entrepreneurs and Small Business Ventures;

AND WHEREAS decisions of Council may both impact and influence opportunities for
small business to operate within the Municipality;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council request a report and presentation from Analee Baroudi, LLB that details the OLT proceeding options for Council to consider as it relates to the business operations at 5277 Quaker Road, Central Elgin, County of Elgin (Wheatfield Estates).

To be presented at the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, 26 February, 2024 at 7:00 pm.

This motion was originally worded as a request to reconsider the zoning refusal of Wheatfield Estates, as per the notice of motion first proposed in August 2023. It was reworded upon advice from Ms. Greenall and Ms. Baroudi that a reconsideration would not be possible while an OLT case is ongoing.
